DevOps On Demand

How We Operate

Types Of Engagement

So what are some of the ways that we can work together? Our current models of engagement to suit your needs are:

Comparison between DevOps engagement models

Integrated DevOps

Here you can recruit full-time personnel to fulfill and/or assist with multiple DevOps-related projects. This is the equivalent of a full-time hire, occupying a seat for full-time use. You get the benefit of an entire team of experts, where the seat is occupied by the best candidate for the task.

This is a dedicated full-time resource that will seamlessly slot into your team to help accomplish your DevOps needs. This might be for a project that lasts a few months, all the way through to a partnership that spans years. There’s no need to worry about hours here as pricing is on a monthly basis.

DevOps On Demand

The original Fractional DevOps. Simply put, this is pay-what-you-use. In this model you purchase a block of hours upfront and use them as and when you need.

The currency for projects is “hours”. Whether it’s your team or ours that puts a project on the table, we’ll give you an estimate and then deduct hours from the balance as we progress. Easy!

Users of this model are typically in “maintenance mode” and are not making large/frequent changes to their setup.

What’s In The Box?

Through working with stack.io, you benefit from:

  • Proactive not reactive - we’re actively discovering and putting together solutions that would enhance your setup. This may be through our own R&D team or via projects that we’ve conducted for other clients.

  • Your own Technical Account Manager - say goodbye to support tickets. Interact with a real human over Slack - we can help assess your needs and wants, and ultimately - optimize your setup. The TAM is your goto for ensuring that we’re meeting your needs in terms of project management and overall satisfaction with stack.io.

  • A team of experts - get the knowledge and expertise of many. You may only get to interact with a few of our engineers but you gain the insight and knowledge from the depths of our team. We touch base multiple times a day to discuss the best approaches to tackle your projects.

Added Value

Our continuous feedback loop through working with multiple clients is a huge advantage for us and helps us deliver added value to you. We are a team of problem solvers at heart - a key trait you’ll find in each of our engineers - so by gaining exposure to numerous setups we’re ready for almost anything. Other clients of ours may have similar setups to your own and thus we’ll apply the knowledge, tools, and solutions that have been tried and tested elsewhere in order to benefit you.

You may only interact with your Technical Account Manager (TAM) and a couple of engineers but behind the scenes there are typically multiple eyes on an issue in order to receive key input on how best to tackle certain projects.

It’s the constant cycle of exposure, ideas, and discussions that allows us to increase our knowledge and skillset to ultimately benefit you. You’re not just getting an engineer, you’re getting a DevOps team!
