Made to help small businesses grow, Daylite helps businesses manage more clients, close more deals, and finish more projects so that users can scale. It’s designed specifically for macOS and iOS.

The Story

Alykhan Jetha is CEO of Toronto-based Marketcircle Inc., developers of the Daylite CRM business app for thousands of Mac-based small businesses in over 80 countries. These businesses rely on Daylite to handle more clients, close more deals and execute more projects than ever before. This reputation for reliability is the chief reason Jetha reached out to stack.io.

“We always ran our own back-end infrastructure,” explained Jetha, who has led his company’s development efforts since its inception 23 years ago. “But as our business has grown we realized that maintaining infrastructure was not our expertise. Our strength is building product innovation that enhances and empowers small businesses to grow versus constantly on standby in maintenance mode.”

At stack.io, the core purpose of our team of DevOps engineers is to discover, learn, and assemble the best technologies and solutions to meet the needs of technology-focused companies like Marketcircle. We work on modernizing clients’ infrastructure setups, so those clients can focus on growing their business and improving their IT-based products and services.

We offer our insight, expertise, experience in navigating the cloud, best practices, modernization, and running a production application, amongst other things.

“What was happening is our development team would spend weeks studying different ways to keep our infrastructure current, and once we made a decision, it might be months or even years later that we find out we could have made a better choice.”

- Alykhan Jetha

Jetha’s CTO of Software, Mark Pavlidis, has taken advantage of stack.io’s services at a previous company he worked for. Though stack.io is a fully remote workforce, Jetha likes the fact that it is co-located in Toronto, so that there are no time-zones to navigate and virtual in-person meetings are possible for strategic technical discussions. “What stack.io does for us is very important, so that local trust factor is a plus for us,” he stated.

“Marketcircle's development team is a small and exceptional group. We face the same challenges of the industry that is facing growing levels of talent shortages. Another attribute of working with stack.io is that our team can be focused on what we know best. What matters to Daylite customers is that we make their Mac-based small businesses as productive as they can be using our app,” said Jetha. “Having our developers focused on product innovation versus back-end infrastructure just makes sense.
